“My friend took this picture of me on a trip to Paris; it was a bright winter day, and it shows my reflection in a blue cars surface. I think that she probably took over 100 photos of me on that trip where you can actually recognize me, and yet I chose this one as my digital face. It's the only profile picture of me available on Facebook, and I even did that thing, so that no one can comment or like it, which I am really comfortable with. Under the cover of being a notorious social media hater, I wanted something unpretentious and anonymous to make me stand out from the line of embarrassing selfies invading my Facebook feed. As I write this, I can't help but notice the irony in wanting to stand out and be anonymous at the same time.”
